Works well for 18+ months
I’m not sure what I was expecting, but the balls cycle through the toy, popping out of the hole and straight into the scoop. You do not scoop any balls from the floor. It is also one ball at a time. I guess it would be slightly cooler if you could scoop them from the ground. It also makes sounds that my kids don’t really care about. I said 18+ month because my 15 month doesn’t really understand the fun of pushing it around but he likes watching it, putting the balls in and pushing the buttons.

Excellent Customer Service
We bought this toy for our grandson for Christmas. Unfortunately it came without the pieces to hold the handle to the body of the toy. Other than that he was enjoying playing with it already. I emailed customer service with VTech and they responded almost immediately! I gave them the information they needed and they responded again immediately! I am so impressed especially in a day and age when customer service is almost no more. Way to go VTech!!!

This bull dozer ball toy is super cute
This toy is super fun and I love the extra balls can securely be stored in the handle so they do not get lost! Our Grandon loves the buttons, lights and songs. The ball pops up when you push the toy and the shovel catches it and deposits it back into the toy to continue the fun. It works great as long as it is not pushed too fast, if pushed too fast the ball will have to be chased down and dropped back in, which is also good exercise for little ones, not so much old Grandmas lol!
My one comment would be for the handle to be sturdier and stay in place as sometimes it drops down and needs to be lifted back up in place. I tried tightening the screws but it really didn't help.

My Grandson LOVES this toy!
I got this for my grandson for Christmas. We were all still unwrapping gifts when he brought it over to me showing me how it worked and asking me to unbox it. :) Since then, every time I've gone to visit its one of his favorite toys to get out and push around. From the buttons to push that light up and play sounds, to the scooping action of the bucket to pick up the balls, he loves it! It made my heart melt watching him play with it. If you're looking for a mentally engaging toy for your young one, look no farther! This toy has brought my grandson many hours of joy and I'm sure it will bring him many more over the next few years.

This toy is very sturdy, too! The buttons were all well seated. No loose fittings at the wheels, bucket arms, or bucket. Handle is well attached. Very well constructed.

Works great.
Bought this for our 11m old for his birthday next month, couldn't wait to give it to him lol thought he'd LOVE it... he loves the noises and the balls but the second that bucket starts to move he's outta there, it scares the hell out of him for some reason like he even cried. Aside from that, it works great and it's got pretty good volume to it, the handle does seem to fall down really easily so it's alittle hard for him to walk with it because he touches the handle and it falls.

Little nephew loves it!
So got this and another toy for my nephew’s 1st bday. He’s a big kid and is not quite at the walking stage but close, and this goes to year 3 so o thought this would be awesome. His dad ( my bro) works in construction so got him a toy for prep for when he can work with dad like we did growing up! He is a super fan of it & likes the balls popping up. He knows where to put them too. He’s still walk learning but with
This I’m thinking he’ll get there. For no he just sits @ moves it/ crawls to the balls when playing. Still a great gift & safe enough it shouldn’t hurt any kid playing with it.
